Introduce a young audience to the works of William Shakespeare in appetising, bite sized chunks.

Each of the cards in this version of BrainBox depict a scene from a famous Shakespearean play (stunningly illustrated by artist Rikey Austin). There is also a quotation and a caption to explain what is happening in the plot. When the cards are placed in order they tell the story of the play.

The plays include A Midsummers Night's Dream, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest and Twelfth Night.

This is a game for grandparents and wider family to all enjoy. Games of this nature can help improve observation and memory skills. Offers a unique way to revise Shakespeare's characters and plots.

How to play? Players take it in turns to study a randomly drawn card for 10 seconds and then return it to another player. They roll a die to decide what question they are asked. All of the answers can be found on the picture side of the card. If the player can answer correctly, the card is kept as a point, if not, they return it to the box. Sounds simple, but once the card is no longer in front of you, how much you can remember becomes everything. The winner is the player with the most cards after 10 minutes of play (can be reduced to 5 minutes play as needed).

Can be enjoyed as a single player, as well as competitively.  Fun for all the family.

Contents: 71 cards, 1 rules card, 1 sand timer, 1 die.

Recommended for players aged 8 years +

Boxed dimensions: 12 x 12 x 12cm.

Not suitable for children aged under 3 years due to small parts (CHOKING HAZARD)

Why they'll love it

The concise length of play ensures players stay focused and engaged. Younger players can be allowed longer to study their card (e.g. two runs of the timer) to even the playing field where needed.

Supports school topics and makes revision interactive and fun.

Why you'll love it

Fun, fast and entertaining. Children and adults can play together.

Compact size make it a good choice as a travel pursuit. The cleverly designed neat cube takes up minimal space on the shelf.

We love the speedy nature of this game. Perfect for when you don't want to give up hours to a board game (Monopoly, we are looking at you) but still want to be entertained.

Designed in the UK. Made from a minimum of 70% recycled material. Ethically sourced.
