Now this is a happy marriage if ever we saw one - the much loved children's story 'The Gruffalo' is now available in the winning Dobble format.
Fans of Julia Donaldson's story and Axel Scheffler's illustrations will be delighted with this inspired version of a much enjoyed game.
Just like the original, to win you must find the Gruffalo character, creature or object in common between two cards, before your opponent does (there is only ever one match). There are 30 playing cards in the deck, so there is plenty of fun to be had.
As with the original, Dobble Gruffalo relies on a sharp eye and quick reflex. This game depends on how swiftly you can react and visual perception (rather than knowledge or strategy) allowing children to play on an equal footing with adults. Gruffalo fans who will instantly recognise squirrel, mouse, terrible teeth etc. will have the upper hand.
This really is a perfect family game, a fun hybrid of snap and hide & seek.
