Robotics Smart Machines Engineering Kit
This award winning kit provides a simple, fun, introduction to robotics. There are eight motorised machines to build, controlled by programs and an ultrasound sensor. Constructions include a walking humanoid robot that can pivot to avoid obstacles in its path and a tail wagging crocodile that opens its jaws when an object approaches. The programs are coded using an easy, visual programming app on a tablet or smartphone, which connects to the robot models via a wireless Bluetooth connection. Requires a tablet or smartphone running iOS (iPhone 4S or later, iPad 3 or later, iPod 5 or later) or Android (Android 4.3 or later on a device with Bluetooth 4.0 support). After you have learned how the technology works, you can build and program your own robots using the kit’s 230 building pieces. 2016 Parents’ Choice Gold Award. Requires 3 AA batteries (not included). Suitable for 8 years +
