Sardines - A Game Of Observation And Memory
You only have a few seconds to carefully study the tin of sardines card. Drink in as many details on the 7 fish displayed as you can (each is decorated differently) before removing the card from view. Turn over your own sardine cards and try to remember if there are any matches.
There are points for getting it right, and penalties for getting it wrong. The player with the most cards at the end, wins.
This game rewards a keen eye and a good memory. Sardines is beautifully illustrated and the usual quality we expect from the French brand Djeco (rules come in 8 different languages)
For 2 - 4 players. Playing time approx 15 minutes. Suitable for children aged 5 years + (or as Djeco state from 5 - 99 years). Great fun for both children and adults.
Sardines comes in a sturdy attractive box (drawer slides out to reveal cards). A perfect game for on the go. Contains 50 cards.
Product size: 15.6 x 11.7 x 2.8cm. DJ05161
Why they'll love itA fun and amusing game, featuring fish in bikinis, hawaiian grass skirts and tuxedos. But silliness aside, it is a great way to practise memory skills. A useful exercise whether you are old or young. My daughters love playing this with grandparents.
If players get too comfortable playing, you can decrease the time they view the sardine tin card for, increase penalties for wrongly chosen fish or throw in a few family rules to keep things interesting (my daughter's speciality).
Why you'll love itWe love discussing memory techniques when we play this game - I can watch my daughter silently listing fish with little memory cues she has made up, to aid her recall. She is having fun but I know this is a transferable skill that will help her with other memory challenges.
Portable and sturdy box (I hate ones that fall apart after a few journeys).
Perfect for when you don't have long but you want a quick fun game.
The quality of the cards and packaging make this a great gift.
