Brain Box - Kings & Queens
Do you know how many sons and daughters Henry VIII had? Or which monarch was the first to make a Christmas Day broadcast?
Developed in conjunction with Historic Royal Palaces, Brainbox Kings & Queens of England recalls all the monarchs of England since the Battle of Hastings.
BrainBox is an appealing way to introduce a young audience to key events from our past. Build historical knowledge in bite size pieces. A game for grandparents and wider family to all enjoy. Helps improve observation and memory skills.
How to play? Players take it in turns to study a randomly drawn card for 10 seconds and then return it to another player. They roll a die to decide what question they are asked. All of the answers can be found on the picture side of the card. If the player can answer correctly, the card is kept as a point, if not, they return it to the box. Sounds simple, but once the card is no longer in front of you, how much you can remember becomes everything. The winner is the player with the most cards after 10 minutes of play (can be reduced to 5 minutes play as needed).
Can be enjoyed as a single player, as well as competitively. Fun for all the family.
Contains 57 cards, 1 rules card, 1 sand timer and 1 die. Recommended for players aged 8 years +
Not suitable for children aged under 3 years due to small parts (CHOKING HAZARD)
Why they'll love itThe concise length of play ensures players stay focused and engaged. Younger players can be allowed longer to study their card (e.g. two runs of the timer) to even the playing field where needed.
